Jim Woodward better known as "Jackhammer Jim"  started out his tattoo career in 1982 with Uncle Bud at our original studio that was located at 519 S Nevada Ave here in Colorado Springs, CO.  Jim's interest in tattooing began with his first professional tattoo by Roy Boy Cooper in the early 1970's.  Jim worked alongside Uncle Bud for 16 years and was instrumental in the creation and the presentation of the Body Art Regulations to the State of Colorado.

After years of lobbying and attending meeting after meetings, the State of Colorado finally acknowledge the need for these regulations.  Due to an unfortunate accident in 1998 Jim's career was put on hold.  While recovering from his accident, Jim taught CCNA at Pikes Peak Community College for 2 years, however, missing the profession he loved so much Jim returned to tattooing.  Finding his niche at Glory Badges Tattoo he worked alongside with Maria for the next 10 years before finding his way back home to Pikes Peak Tattoo.  Jim is now a permanent fixture at the studio he began his career with.  So come in and say "hi"  to a local legend, and our friend!
